First, we wanted to improve the legibility and quality of our record keeping. In addition, we wanted to be able to eliminate our transcription costs. We also hoped it would fully integrate into our computer system, which is Millbrook Paradigm. I must admit, after evaluating the options for note taking software, I really wanted Nextgen. We have a windows based system and it would have fully integrated into it. However, at the exorbitant cost of $80K, it was a luxury which we decided to forego, and we purchased MediNotes e (formerly Charting Plus).

"I've used Medinotes since 1998. When I started I was totally computed illiterate. One sales person joked that 'if I could
