Professional Affiliations

MediNotes-e Version 5.2 is certified for Ambulatory EMR 2007 by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT); and MediNotes Clinician is CCHIT certified for Ambulatory EMR 2006. We will continue to ensure that the latest versions of all MediNotes products meet these important requirements.

Through membership in the HIMSS Electronic Health Record Vendors Association (EHRVA), MediNotes is on the front lines of emerging initiatives such as standards development, privacy and security initiatives, pay-for-performance reimbursement proposals and quality reporting programs. MediNotes executives participate in these and other initiatives to ensure that our products are responsive to emerging standards and proactively meet regulatory requirements.

HIMSS Electronic Health Record Vendor Association (EHRVA)
HIMSS EHRVA is a trade association of Electronic Health Record (EMR) vendors that addresses national efforts to create interoperable EMRs in hospital and ambulatory care settings. HIMSS EHRVA operates on the premise that the rapid, widespread adoption of EMRs will help improve the quality of patient care and the productivity of the healthcare system. The primary mission of the association is to provide a forum for the EMR vendor community relative to standards development, the EMR certification process, interoperability, performance and quality measures, and other EMR issues that may become the subject of increasing government, insurance and physician association initiatives and requests.

HL7
Health Level Seven is one of several American National Standards Institute (ANSI) - accredited Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) operating in the healthcare arena. Like all ANSI-accredited SDOs, Health Level Seven adheres to a strict and well-defined set of operating procedures that ensures consensus, openness and balance of interest. HL7 is an international community of healthcare subject matter experts and information scientists collaborating to create standards for the exchange, management and integration of electronic healthcare information. HL7 promotes the use of such standards within and among healthcare organizations to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery for the benefit of all.
